Morton General Hospital offers many different community programs, support groups, workshops and more.

Individual Health Coaching

You can get free one-on-one coaching that will help you set and progress toward goals. Coaching is by appointment and can be done in Mossyrock, Morton or Randle. They can help you with weight management, stress management, tobacco liberation, managing diabetes or pre-diabetes. They can also assist with self-management of other chronic conditions or lifestyle diseases.

Free individual appointments are available for consultation and assistance related to long-term care and end-of-life care. During these appointments, you can receive assistance applying for Medicaid, obtaining advance directives, reviewing financial information and more.

Diabetes Self-Management Workshop

This free 6-week course helps patients and caregivers learn how to manage diabetes and pre-diabetes.

Chronic Disease Self-Management Workshop

This free workshop helps people with chronic conditions (such as asthma, depression, COPD, heart disease, MS, diabetes and other long-term conditions) learn how to better manage and live with their conditions.

The workshop focuses on helping people find ways to deal with pain, fatigue, exercise and healthy eating. They also address concerns about how to talk to family and friends about their health,how to set goals and work toward them.

Aging Mastery Program

Adults 55+ can participate in this free course. The class aims on improving your financial well-being, improving your health and helping you find enrichment in later life. The 10 topic course includes healthy eating, sleep, financial fitness and advance planning.

Support Groups

There are several support groups available:

  • Bereavement Support meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the month.
  • Pre-Diabetes and Diabetes Support Group meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month.
  • Better Breathers Club (for lung disease sufferers) meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month.
  • Mind, Body, Spirit Self-Care Group meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month.
