If you’re homeless in Lewis County, you need to know about the Lewis County Gospel Mission. This amazing resource provides essential help with transportation, clothing, hygiene, bedding, food and so much more.

From the Lewis County Gospel Mission, you may receive:

  • Bus tickets
  • Train tickets
  • Hair cut vouchers
  • Clothing (including underwear)
  • Shoes (including boots)
  • Bedding
  • Hygiene items
  • Hot food (including coffee) during meal hours
  • Emergency food bags

Clothing & Hygiene 

Customers can receive a free full set of clothing once every 7 days, as available. An exception may be granted to individuals who come in with soaked clothing.

You can also enjoy a free 8 minute shower once every 7 days. The Mission provides soap, shampoo and towels.

Tents & Sleeping Bags

Guests who provide a photo ID may be able to obtain a tent and sleeping bag from the Lewis County Gospel Mission every year, depending on donations and contributions from the Federal Surplus programs. You will need to provide photo ID. The Mission staff will take a photo of you. They will also document your name and birth date.

Transportation Services

If you have a verifiable medical, legal or other official appointment, you may be able to receive a free daily bus pass from the Lewis County Gospel Mission.

Jail Ministry

The Gospel Mission also provides services to inmates through a Jail Ministry. Their jail ministry services include chaplaincy, Sunday Church services, one-on-one Bible teaching, Bible distribution and transitional assistance after release.
