The Columbia County Department of Public Health offers the following programs:

Free Blood Pressure Checks

Just walk in for a free blood pressure check! This service is offered whenever nurses are available.

Pregnancy Tests and Referrals

If you think you may be pregnant, please contact the Columbia County Public Health Department to schedule a pregnancy test. They can also refer you to helpful community resources!

Women, Infants & Children (WIC)

WIC provides nutrition counseling and free food vouchers to pregnant, lactating or postpartum mothers and their infants/children. The program has income requirements and is only available to children up to age 5.

Birth to Three Program

Children between the ages of 0-3 years may qualify for free developmental screenings and early intervention services.

Children with Special Health Care Needs

Integrated, family-centered programs and services are available to families of children with special health care ends. For more information, please call (509) 382-2181.

Immunization Clinics

Call (509) 382-2181 for an appointment. You can usually be seen the same day.

Water Testing Kits

Water testing kits can be picked up at the Columbia County Public Health office at 270 E Main Street in Dayton.

Food Handler Permits

Get a food handler card for just $10! The class is free. Call (509) 382-2181 to schedule the test. The online course is available here.
