Cancer patients who are within a three month window of treatment may be eligible for a one-time grant of up to $350 to help with their living expenses. Funds can be used to help with rent, utilities, food, transportation, dental expenses, child care, medical supplies or more. It can take up to three months to receive funds, so this program isn’t designed to assist with emergency or crisis situations.

There is a separate $300 fund for breast and chest cancer patients. This program is called the Komen Patient Assistance Fund. Breast cancer patients with metastatic diagnosis (stage 4) can reapply for the fund each grant cycle (April 1 – March 31).

To qualify, you must be treated in Western Washington and have an income at or below 250% of the Federal Poverty Level.

The Cancer Lifeline is currently only providing assistance to breast cancer patients.
